Kerala is well known for it's snake boat (also known as Chundan vallam in Malayalam, the local language)races. August-Sep-Oct is the season for these races and this is the time of Onam festival, which is again celebrated by all Keralites.

Kerala, an unstoppable nostalgia ! Kerala is my home state in India, and it is also known as the God's own country. I just love Kerala. I love it's peaceful greenery and back waters. A great place to unwind after some busy time in the nerve wrecking cities. One thing I dont like about Kerala is the lousy politicians and corruption.
